The project bridgingMzamba evolved through a request of local inhabitants for a save connection over the Mzamba-river to enable access to educational, medical infrastructure and suppliers.
Diverse meetings with the community and representatives of local governance guarantee best conditions for a productive collaboration. The most suitable location could be defined, and the local support of the construction project and all its stakeholders assured. Furthermore local inhabitants will support the project through labor force.
The planned bridge and collective implementation process will enforce the relation between local school project and general public of the rural area. Current partners are the Ithuba Wildcoast School, University of Applied Science Carinthia, local Steering Committee and buildCollective – NPO for Architecture and Development.
Research, feasibility study, measuring and resource acquisition as well as direct implementation will be driven by buildCollective.
